Notes:

1. Required skill level:  EASY - This system takes 20 to 30 minutes to setup. 

2. Each generator comes with bike stand, belt, generator, breakout power cable.

4. The vented aluminum cover provides you with a nice powder coated - highly durable cover to protect your generator system.

5. The charge controller option allows you to charge batteries.  Other bike generator systems available on the web don't typically offer this option.  Learn why you need a charge controller here.

6. The powerpack option allows you to store the power from your bicycle generator into a lead acid battery.  The battery then feeds the energy into an AC 110V power inverter that will power up a television, radio, cell phone, blender, laptop, desktop computer, led lights, CFL lights, etc.  More information here.

7. Each bike generator comes with a Aux. Solar power input cigarette lighter type plug like the one you have in your car.  This allows you easily hook up a portable solar panel or another generator source up to 10 Amps. This is a nice option to add extra power output to your generator system.  More information here.

8. Each bike generator comes with banana plug terminals which provide you with 4 output terminals to measure Amps and Volts with your free included volt meter or data acquisition system like LabVIEW.  If you use two meters at once, you can measure power buy multiplying the reading off both meters * 100.  Example:  If one meter reads 12 Volts, and the other meter reads 0.100 then  More information here.

9. The power meter options allows you to see actual Watts of power you body is generating either on a windows computer screen or on a meter mounted on your handle bars. More explained here.

10. The WattsVIEW power monitoring option allows you to use  your laptop or desktop computer to watch and record Volts, Amps, Watts, & Watt Hours to data log files.  More information here

USING A QUICK RELEASE AXLE  WITH YOUR BICYCLE GENERATOR

The Bicycle Trainer Stand is designed to hold a bicycle that uses this type of axle with rounded ends.   If you don't have one of these types of bikes, then you would need to gently round the ends of the bolts on your axle to a rounded shape that looks like the ends shown on the quick release axle so you bicycle fits securely into the bike trainer stand.   If you need more help with this contact us at support@pedalpowergenerator.com

Some powerpacks are excellent for emergencies, like having jumper cables to start you car when the battery is dead, or having a radio & flashlight and air compressor. 

Problems with battery packs is that if you want them to last more than a year, you really need to take care of them.  Read the owner's manual!  Keep them fully charged all the time by leaving them plugged into a wall charge outlet.

A convenient design feature allows for easy set-up of the cart.  The XPower Powerpack 1500 consists of a battery pack that stores electrical energy, state-of-the-art electronics that convert 12 volts from the battery pack to household power, an AC power panel that contains two standard outlets, and a DC power panel that is used to run 12 volt products.
