This portable solar panel system offers advantages to the typical solar panel in that it allows you to adjust angle towards the sun.  Unfortunately a solar panel does not operate at it's maximum level output when it isn't facing directly at the sun.   You will find the adjustable tri-pod works well on rough terrain and uneven surfaces since each leg of the tri-pod has an adjustable length.

The most frequent question asked is how long does it take to charge the battery powerpack.  ANSWER:  About 4 to 5 hours for a 28AH battery (As used in the Duracell powerpack).

Group pedal power systems come in 1.5kW (5 Person charging system) ,  3 KW  (10 person charging system),  and 4.5 kW (15 person charging system).   The power from each rider is fed into a power monitoring  electrical  box which combines the power from each rider and channels it to a 12 Volt battery charging connector.   The power is routed through battery charge controller to avoid over charging the batteries.  Users of this system typically store the energy  in battery power packs which convert it from 12 Volts to 110 Volts AC so that it can power up musical equipment, charge cell phones, run blenders for fruit smoothies or drinks,  and many more items.

The power monitoring software option allows you to monitor the power from each rider and display the data on a standard - large screen display.

The "PP6" option includes a 12V Duracell powerpack with your system.  It has a 28 Amp-Hour lead acid - AGM battery.  The enclosed battery is sealed and non spillable. It can be shipped through the mail with no worries.  It will take you about 4 to 6 hours to charge this Duracell powerpack with the pedal power bicycle .  This powerpack has a built in AM/FM radio, flashlight, AC 110V AC inverter, and car jumper cables making it great to have in an emergency.

If you want a bigger powerpack, then you could use the Xantrex 1,500 Watt roll around system available for $600.  This has a 58 Amp Hour Batter in side of it.  No radio, no flash light, no battery cables. Details for the Xantrex 1,500 Power Pack are shown below.

There other powerpacks that are cheaper and of less quality and less features.  If you really want to go cheap - just order a 12V scooter battery and hook it up through a fuse to your bicycle generator.  You are responsible for following electrical code.
